Central University of Kerala is one of the 15 new Central Universities established under “The Central Universities Act, 2009 (Act No.25 of 2009)”, situated at Kasaragod, the northern-most district of Kerala. Central University of Kerala (CUK) has state-wide jurisdiction. The University has started functioning in a three-storeyed building at Nayanmar Moola, 5 km away from Kasaragod town. Offices of the Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Finance Officer, Controller of Examinations, Classrooms, Faculty Cabins, Library, Computer Centre, Council Meeting Hall, Faculty Apartment, etc. are also housed in this building. Preparations are being made in the same building for Science Departments proposed to be launched in 2010-11.
